D is for Doula
Sometimes it's the small things, like bringing a glass of water to a nursing mother. Sometimes, it's about addressing an immediate need, such as getting a colicky infant to sleep. And it can be about the things you never thought of in advance: entertaining older children so that Mom can take a nap, how to handle a pet that suddenly feels neglected or where to find diapers at 3am.
Whether you have other children or suddenly find yourself at home with a new infant for the first time, a doula can be a wonderful resource for a family.
Founded in 2008 by Certified Lactation Counselor and Postpartum Certified Doula (DONA), Sara Newman, D is for Doula is dedicated to nurturing the entire family.
