Breastfeeding Support - Prenatal

$60 per couple. This includes the pregnant mother and one support person (pre-registration required)
Many woman want to breastfeed but are not sure how to do it. In this class we discuss the science behind making breastmilk, proper positioning, how to know if your baby is getting enough, and discuss common problems. We also talk about what to do when you go back to work, how to properly pump and store breastmilk, answer questions and much more! Dolls are used and partners are strongly encouraged to attend. There is no exposure during class.
Breastfeeding Support - Postnatal

$30 (Pre-registration required)
Many woman look for assistance with breastfeeding their babies. This relaxed support group uses a community model to help women breastfeed comfortably and addresses such issues as pain during breastfeeding, proper positioning, feeding multiples, poor weight gain in baby, frequent crying, lack of attachment to the breast, among other things. It is also a wonderful way to meet other mothers and share in common experiences. I also provide a digital scale in order to properly track both your baby's weight and the amount of milk intake from the breast.
CPR & First Aid for Infants and Children
Mondays at
City Treehouse: 5:00-7:00pm (Monthly on the last Monday of the month)
$75 ($80 at the door), additional caregivers $25 | Adults only.
This training course focuses on how to provide emergency care for injured or ill children (ages one to eight) and infants less than one year old. Participants will learn about the types of medical emergencies that children face, and how to render aid to an infant or child with a life-threatening emergency such as choking or cardiac arrest.

Sign Language for Infants and Toddlers

Learn basic American Sign Language in this playful class. Using games, songs and fun activities, caregivers will learn to communicate with pre-verbal babies and children who are developing early language skills.
